Late Senior Prof. Gihan Wikramanayke

Late Senior Professor Gihan Wikramanayke was with over 33 years of IT experience in diverse areas of the industry from systems design and development to ICT education. He served as the director of the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) between 2010 and 2016. He was elected for as the Chairman of BCS The Chartered Institute for IT, Sri Lanka Section in four occasions and had been with the BCSSL executive committee since 2003. Late Senior Prof. Wikramanayake also served the Council of BCS UK from 2011/12 to 2013/14.

Late Dr. R B Ekanayake,

Late Dr. R B Ekanayake pioneered in bringing ICT to the local banking industry in addition to the enormous contribution to various aspects of business verticals. Dr. Ekanayake is a Board member of Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA), and is a founder member as well as the first President of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL). Dr. R B Ekanayake is the first recipient to be honoured by the ICT Lifetime Achiever Awards was in 2007. He had completed over 40 years of service to the ICT industry and had led most of the largest local banks in their ICT modernisation drives.
