Sri Lanka’s IT sector and overall economy are set for a major boost with the upcoming DIGIECON Global Investment Summit 2024, according to State Minister of Technology Kanaka Herath speaking at the press brief held on 10th May 2024, at the Presidential Media Center.
BCS Sri Lanka Section was represented at the press briefing by Mr. Alanzo Doll (Chairman) with Ms. Shinalee Pieris (ExCo Member) volunteering as the event compeer, alongside other representatives from the Ministry of Technology, ICTA, Sponsors and Industry bodies. The press briefing highlighted the summit’s role in attracting foreign investments and accelerating the country’s digital development.
BCS Sri Lanka Section had been a part of the DIGIECON 2030 strategy from its inception with several of their events forming part of the DIGIECON calendar for 2024, which includes the National ICT Awards 2024 (NBQSA), AI & Data Analytics Summit, Woman in IT Programs, and Early Career Guidance programs.
Speaking at the press conference, Alanzo Doll Chairman of BCS Sri Lanka Section announced that they will be providing their latest version of the AI based B2B Business Matching platform to connect inventors and companies at the DIGIECON Global Investor Summit 2024.
This B2B Business Matching software allows companies to add their company details, elevator pitch, product and service offerings, and collateral, while investors could add their profiles and the type of investment they were looking for. The software provides profile views and an analytical dashboard to both investors and companies, along with an event scheduler for facilitating one-on-one meetings at the event.
The software also features an AI-powered engine to provide investors with a prospective company’s market potential, scalability, and challenges based on the latest market data, industry information, and trends.
BCS Sri Lanka Section also announced that they organizing the AI & Data Analytics Summit 2024, which will be held on 26th June 2024, the day following the Investment summit. The AI & Data Analytics summit would provide delegates with the opportunity of enhancing their overall experience on both days.
