Chairman 2025 – 2026
It is a great honor to be elected as Chairman of the BCS Sri Lanka Section for the year 2025. For almost two decades, I have been actively involved with our section—serving as an ICT judge for the National ICT Competition, as an International Judge for the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (NBQSA), and contributing as an Exco member since 2006. During this time, I have helped organize and support the National ICT Awards, a prestigious competition that I had the privilege of leading for ten consecutive years, elevating the standards we celebrate today. As Secretary for four years and Chairman for 2021-2022, I introduced initiatives such as an online judging platform for national and international competitions, a B2B programme, and a Certificate of Product Quality, among others….

We conduct many activities aimed at our professional members and the ICT Industry. Since 1998, we conduct the National ICT Awards, popularly known as NBQSA annually – Sri Lanka’s flagship ICT event of the year.

National ICT Awards, NBQSA is Sri Lanka’s most prestigious, pioneering competition organized to recognize the best and most innovative local ICT products, Organisations, and individuals who are instrumental in shaping the ICT industry. The winners of NBQSA are nominated annually by BCS The Chartered Institute for IT, Sri Lanka Section to represent Sri Lanka at Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards. (Often referred to as the Oscars of the ICT Industry in Asia-Pacific Region).

Where do we meet
The Executive Committee meets once a month, and holds the AGM at the beginning of the year.
The Sri Lanka section meetings are held at different venues in Colombo.
